"Seek first to understand, then to be understood" - Stephen Covey

For Individuals

Yorway offers tailored 1:1 support to help you manage common mental health challenges and navigate difficult situations. Using evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and conflict coaching, we focus on exploring your current challenges and developing practical tools and techniques to enable you to make tangible change, building self-reliance and confidence to move forward in life.

Sessions can be delivered in person, remotely, or as a walk & talk sessions, offering a supportive space where you are truly heard. Your therapist will work with you throughout your journey, helping you understand patterns and plan a clear way forward that you can apply in everyday life.

We also run personal development group workshops, available in person or remotely, covering practical topics such as stress management, communication skills, and other personal development techniques, providing additional opportunities to learn and apply strategies for everyday challenges.

Be a product of your decisions, not your circumstances

Conflict Coaching

Conflict is a normal part of life, but navigating it effectively can be difficult. Whether it’s tension with a colleague, a disagreement at home, or recurring patterns that leave you feeling stuck. Unresolved conflict can affect your wellbeing, confidence, and relationships.

Our 1:1 conflict coaching provides personalised support to help you understand, manage, and respond to conflict in a way that works for you. Through confidential, coach-facilitated sessions, you’ll gain insight into your own reactions, explore the dynamics at play, and develop practical tools to handle difficult situations.

Conflict coaching is not therapy or mediation - it’s about supporting you to take control. By focusing on your mindset, behaviours, and choices, you’ll be better equipped to handle conflict in a way that suits your style.

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It’s based on the idea that by changing unhelpful thinking patterns, you can improve your emotional wellbeing and respond to challenges more effectively.

CBT is widely used to support people dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, or relationship difficulties, and it equips you with tools you can use long after therapy ends.

The techniques practiced help you manage stress, anxiety, and low mood, build practical coping skills, boost confidence, and develop long-term tools for emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

Personal Development Workshops

Our workshops are designed to help you stand on your own two feet, combining CBT principles with practical tools to support lasting personal growth.

Delivered in person or online, these sessions provide an adult learning environment - not group therapy - where you can explore a topic through psycho-education and develop practical techniques and strategies. You’ll be in a friendly group with other like-minded individuals, and participation is entirely optional - no one is ever pressured to share personal experiences.

We explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how understanding this link allows you to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively, both personally and professionally.

Workshop topics include:

  • Communication Skills
  • Leadership
  • Mindfulness
  • Self-Awareness
  • Stress Management
  • Conflict Management

Personal Benefits

Develop the core skills to navigate life's challenges with confidence.

Adaptability: Our world is constantly changing at a pace and scale never not experienced before in history. Being adaptable is simply about our ability to keep going when life or work gets tough. It’s the key to staying flexible and not getting stuck when things change, helping you quickly figure out new ways to handle problems and stress. We don't always know how to respond straight away, but if we're adaptable, we know we can figure it out.

Responsibility & Problem-Solving: It's a long and gradual transition from childhood to adulthood, from being supported to being responsible, and it comes without a manual for navigating this uncertainty. Acknowledging personal responsibility and developing problem-solving skills is how we build integrity, earn trust and prepare ourselves us for life.

Self-Awareness: Understanding what's going on within ourselves, mentally and physically, and recognising how others see us is essential to making informed decisions. Self-awareness acts like the mirrors and sensors on your car. Knowing what's going on inside, outside and all around, allows you to be in control, navigate with ease and anticipate what's coming next.

Stress Management: Stress is a normal part of life and if managed it even helps us grow. It's the body's way of signalling to our mind that we're experiencing challenge or uncertainty. When you learn to notice your own stress triggers and understand your stress symptoms, it becomes easy to identify what helps you manage it.
