Evidence-based therapy to help individuals understand and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional resilience, and manage common mental health difficulties.
A personalised, one-to-one process in which a trained conflict coach supports an individual to explore and manage interpersonal conflicts.
Mediation is a process in which a neutral third party, a mediator, supports two or more individuals who are in conflict, to explore their situation, develop a new perspective and possibly reach a mutually acceptable resolution.
Training designed to explore and understand wellbeing and develop a wide variety of practical skills to manage common workplace difficulties.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a structured, goal-oriented talking therapy. It helps individuals identify and change unhelpful patterns in their thinking and behaviour. At Yorway, CBT is tailored to each person’s unique circumstances — whether they're experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout, or workplace-related difficulties. CBT is practical, collaborative, and focused on real-world change.
What CBT can help with?
How does a session work?
At Yorway, your treatment begins with a 60-minute, one-to-one assessment to explore context, current challenges and goals. We offer a structured programme of up to 12 CBT sessions, delivered weekly, either online or in-person.
Treatment sessions are confidential and tailored to the client’s needs. Each session typically includes a check-in, goal setting, exploration of unhelpful thoughts or behaviours, skills building, and a short home-practice task to apply between sessions.
The goal of CBT is to work collaboratively with clients, with guidance from a therapist, to equip clients with practical tools and techniques that empower them to confidently manage their mental wellbeing, long-term, building a lasting toolkit for life.
What is Conflict Coaching?
Conflict Coaching is a one-to-one, confidential approach designed to help individuals develop the insight and skills they need to navigate conflict constructively. Whether you're preparing for a difficult conversation, dealing with unresolved tension, or recovering from a challenging situation, conflict coaching empowers you to take control rather than let the situation control you.
What CC can help with?
How does a session work?
At Yorway, your CC intervention begins with a 60-minute assessment to understand the situation, explore context and goals. We offer a structured programme of up to three CC sessions, delivered a minimum of two-weeks apart, either online or in-person.
Intervention sessions are confidential and tailored to individual needs. Sessions are guided by the client and their experience. CC is a reflective intervention aimed at helping clients reflect on their current situation and response to conflict.
Unlike therapy, CC does not require an exploration of personal history, nor does it diagnose or analyse the client. Instead, it offers a non-judgemental space to explore current challenges and consider alternative strategies to better manage conflict.
What is Mediation?
Mediation is a confidential intervention guided by an impartial practitioner who supports two or more people in conflict. At Yorway we support clients to have constructive conversations, aimed at developing a deeper understanding of each other and exploring ways to move forward.
What Mediation can help with?
How does a session work?
At Yorway, your mediation intervention begins with a 60-minute assessment, per client, to understand the situation, explore context, goals and clarify that mediation is appropriate and agreeable to all parties.
Typically, mediation is conducted over a single day. Each client receives a 90-minute confidential meeting, followed by a four-hour joint meeting in the afternoon.
Mediation offers an opportunity to express concerns, clarify misunderstandings, and collaboratively explore options to move forward that are agreeable to all involved. It is voluntary, confidential, and built on mutual participation.
At Yorway, we do not take sides, offer advice, or make judgments; our role is to create a safe, neutral space where all perspectives can be understood, and outcomes discussed.
What is Pyscho-educational Training?
PT introduces core CBT principles to help individuals understand how thoughts, behaviours and emotions interact and contribute to unhelpful cycles. At Yorway we provide practical evidence-based tools to support wellbeing and resilience, equipping individuals, managers and leaders to apply these skills in both the workplace and everyday life.
What workshops do we offer?
How does a session work?
Yorway's approach involves tailoring PT to suit your organisation's needs, whether delivered to small teams or larger groups. PT workshops can form part of team days, strategy workshops, transformation planning sessions, or regular team meetings.
These are not group therapy sessions, rather they offer a structured learning environment focussed on CBT-based theory and practical skills. While some group discussion is encouraged, participation is flexible and shaped by the preferences of the group and the goals of the organisation.
